Many of you have written to us over the past few days because of difficulties with the Blushing Books website (along with Bethany’s Woodshed). We initially hoped the problems we were having weren’t so serious. What we’ve come to discover over the past 24 hours is that things are worse than we thought. We’ve had a pretty serious crash with our server.
Technicians with our hosting company are working to restore access and while we don’t have a time table as to when the Blushing Books store will be back online, we do hope to at least have a basic version of the site which lists our new releases and links to purchase them on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
The good news is we were actually in the process of launching a new & improved version of the Blushing Books store shortly. The bad news is, it’s not complete yet. We’re still trying to decide the best way to proceed. If we can bring back the original store to hold things over until the new store iscompleted wewould prefer that, but the possibility exists that we may keep the “streamed down” version of the site in place until the new store is completed and ready to go.
In the meantime, all new releases will continue to be released on schedule, however they’ll only be available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble initially.
(Bethany’s Woodshed will be, we hope, back up & running within a few days)
We are very grateful to all of our loyal customers who have stuck with us through the ups and downs over the years and we sincerely apologize for any inconveniences this might cause in the short run.
This surely isn’t the way we wanted to start out 2015 but we’re hopeful we can get through this rough patch over the next few weeks and the Blushing Books store will be back better than ever!
Thank you everyone for youthoughts, prayers and kind comments! I have passed them along toBethany. I spoke to her a little bit ago, she is holding up as well as can be expected. The doctor’s do not expect her mom to make it more than 24-48 hours. She appreciates the emails she has received and all of the comments!
As far as the Blushing Books Website, our technician is still working on getting the site back up and running. Also, the ones working on the NEW store, are working away on that. This has been a very upsetting, unfortunate event. We are doing all wecan to get it back up as quickly as possible! Again, thank you all! ~ Allison
Yes, we are still taking submissions, although, because of the circumstances, both with the store and Bethany’s mom, it may take a little longer to acknowledge and get emails and contracts out.
