Author Interview

Author Questions:

What is your writing process like? Most people think my process is crazy. I have a lap-top and sit in front of the TV to write. I used to sit in my office but then I’d get interrupted. Hubby would need to ask me a question, my son would need something. I found if I sat with them they ignored me. I can tune out the TV, or find a show that is easy to ignore.

What do you love most about books? The ability to escape into another world. I like good plots, something to draw me in and keep me reading.

Who are some of your favorite authors? I love Kathleen D. Woodiwiss, Joanna Lindsey, Steven King, Steven R Donaldson to name a few.

What is your favorite genre? SF/Futuristic Romance, I think that’s why I write in it now.

Libraries or bookstores? Both. I have a lot of books and can’t help buying more, but sometimes you need to use the library to get your research

Do you like to outline or just dive right in when writing? I dive right in. I’ve always been a pantser, can’t help it. My creative juices work the best when I do. I keep everything in my head instead of doing out lines. I also write linear so that helps with the diving right in. If I have a problem with a scene or am not sure where I need to go next I have a tendency to let it work it’s way out while I’m working.

If you could travel anywhere in the world, where you go? I’d love to go to Ireland. I’m irish and would love to see where my family came from.

Favorite color? Oh purple, been my favorite for years.

Excerpt

Something whizzed by his head the moment he entered the vacant room.

“Where’s my shit?”

“Where it belongs.” She was beautiful when she was angry. Her pale skin had a slight flush to it, just like it did right after they had been intimate.

That stopped her for a moment. “It belongs here.”

He shook his head as he walked toward her. Her leery look warned him to be careful, but she didn’t frighten him in the least. Wrapping his arms around her from behind, he pinned her arms to her sides before lifting her off the ground and carrying her down the hall. She continued to struggle so he flipped her and threw her over his shoulder. “Stop struggling.”

“Not ’til you put me down.”

He slapped her on her buttocks as he continued to his room. He wasn’t sure how many staff he passed, but he didn’t care. He was enjoying every minute. Her anger did nothing but fire him up. “I’ll put you down when I’m good and ready.”

He walked into his room and dropped her unceremoniously onto his bed.

Her items were stacked neatly beside it. She seemed shocked to see them there. She was quiet for only a moment before she jumped off the bed and continued with her tirade. “How dare you move my things!” The anger she felt hid a hurt deep inside her.

“How dare I?” He crowded her up against the wall. Time to end this before she got out of hand. “You forget where you are? Who you belong to?”

“I belong to no one.” There was that hurt look again.

“You are mine.” He dipped his head and nibbled on the spot where he had left his mark. She didn’t understand what it meant yet, so he had to be lenient, but she needed to know there were times when she shouldn’t argue with him.

He grabbed her uniform top and tore it off her, then he did the same with her trousers. His clothing came next. In seconds he was inside her. Proving she was his to take whenever he wanted.

He held her in place with his weight and height. Using one hand he lifted her chin so she would look him in the eyes. Such a myriad of emotions there. The hurt was still there but fading fast. It was being replaced by shock and a touch of desire. No man had ever possessed her like this before, and he found a strange satisfaction at being the first.

He pressed against her, pushing himself deeper into her. Those wonderfully expressive eyes took on a hunger as the desire took over. Her legs locked around his waist to help keep him in place.

“You shall be with no one but me.” He pounded into her, her slick sheath taking him in again and again. It felt so good.

“And you?” Her voice came out deep and seductive as her muscles tightened against him. Her head dropped to his shoulder as a ripple of pleasure raced through her. That ripple affected him too.

“I want no one but you.” He knew he was close. Then he felt her muscles lock onto him with a grip that forced him to shake to keep control.

With her it started as a tremble before she exploded all around him. The power of her orgasm came close to taking him with her. That had never happened before. But he knew it was her.

Since he met her he found he always wanted her. He walked around with a constant erection, fantasizing about when and where he would take her. No other woman had ever had this effect on him, and he was going to enjoy it for as long as it lasted.

“And if I argue with you?” She lifted her head and looked into his eyes again. They glowed with satisfaction. Everything else had been burned away by her orgasm.

“I know how to win.” His lips captured hers and he started moving once again. Her body was like a fine instrument that he had a natural feel for. It took only a few strokes for her to grip him with all her might once again. He felt her orgasm grab her, causing her to shudder all around him. That shudder sent him over the edge. He didn’t try to fight it.
