Katie Danvers can’t take over the family business in Atlanta unless she’s married. It’s an outdated requirement, but it’s in the company’s founding documents. When her grandfather, the company’s CEO, sees no signs of her marrying, he brings in Gavin Kerr, his top executive from Scotland, to be his new right-hand man.

Katie is horrified, not so much at the change in company hierarchy as by the fact that Gavin is the one man she’s been avoiding for almost a decade. They had a passionate affair in Scotland nine years ago, one that ended badly, and she’s carried a grudge against him ever since.

Gavin never knew why Katie left Scotland so abruptly and is puzzled by her hostility. He needs to find out what’s going on, though, because they must now work together as Grandfather’s two top executives.

Given their history, is that even possible?

This is book one of the new Family Business series and reads as a standalone.

Publisher’s Note: This steamy contemporary romance contains elements of power exchange.

“When I was in school, a bunch of us girls hired a ‘pro’ to show us how to strip. What do you think about that?”

His eyes lit up. “Was that an offer?”

“I’m in.”

Gavin sat down on a chair and put his feet up on an ottoman. “Do I need bills to tuck into unmentionable places?”

Katie giggled. “We didn’t learn that part.” Then she started sashaying around, slowly—very slowly—undressing bit by bit. It was fun watching the dress come off so slowly, but then she was left in her little lacies, as Gavin called them, plus stockings and her strappy heels. Whoever they’d hired had taught her pupils well, and Gavin could feel himself getting aroused as he watched the way she undid her bra and then teased him with it. He tried to grab her, but she evaded him.

Was he the luckiest guy in Atlanta tonight? The woman he adored was standing in front of him in only a filmy bikini bottom plus lace-top nylons and heels. She smiled seductively at him and slowly slid the bikini down, turning around so he could have a view of both front and back. Once she’d stepped out of it, she tossed it to him and then posed in a most provocative position.

“Do you want to finish or shall I?” cooed Katie.

“I’ll do it.” Gavin’s voice sounded hoarse, and as he stood up, Katie could see the bulge in his tuxedo pants. He took her hand and led her to the bed, then lay her on it with her stockings and heels still on. He cupped her naked breasts and kissed her, but she pulled back.

“Uh-uh,” she said teasingly, waggling her finger at him. “You haven’t finished your work.”

He slipped off her heels then, one at a time, kissing each foot as he did. Then he took hold of one of the lacy stocking tops and gently rolled it down until her leg was freed. He repeated the same with the other and then stared at the totally naked beauty lying on the bed. She reached up and removed her earrings, laid them on the nightstand, and then held out her arms to him.
