The bartender placed my drink in front of me. I gulped down half, wanting to drown out my doubts, my indecisiveness, my sadness.
“What do you do?” the guy, who was still sitting next to me, asked suddenly.
“What part of this are you not understanding?” I sneered, pissed that he wasn’t taking the hint. “Go away.”
“There’s no reason to be rude,” he replied. “I just wanted to talk.”
“Leave,” a deep voice growled behind us.
My whole body broke out with goosebumps, and I spun around to see what sort of man had caused such a visceral reaction.
I gawked up at the hulking stranger, he must be at least six-five with huge shoulders. His t-shirt strained against his thick biceps and wide muscular chest. Tattoos peeked out from the hem of his left sleeve. Faded jeans hugged his tree-trunk sized thighs, with an impressive bulge in front. Holy mother of sex on a stick.
I forced myself to look up at his face, as I heard the man next to me almost tip over the barstool as he scurried away.
The stranger’s eyes almost looked like they were glowing, bright green and yellow around the iris as he looked down at me, a cocky smirk on his full lips. He had a few days’ worth of stubble on his angular jaw and wavy dark brown hair.
Heat flooded my cheeks as I realized how long I’d been silently gawking at him. I couldn’t help it though, my heart was pounding wildly, my body tingled with an awareness I’d never felt before, my panties were instantly soaked.
“Hello, little girl.” He perched on the barstool and faced me, pinning me with his intense eyes.
“I’m not interested,” I forced through clenched teeth. Even with my intense physical reaction, I was still on the fence about letting a man into my life. It was probably better to err on the side of caution, right?
“Yes, you are,” he challenged me, raising one eyebrow. “And you’re going to come home with me.”
“Why would I do that?” I scoffed at his presumption.
I’d only ever had sex with Simon, and I didn’t consider myself the type of girl to be into one-night stands.
“Because we’re going to fuck away whatever heartache you’re attempting to drown.” He grabbed my glass from my hand and drank the rest. Then he leaned towards me, dropping his voice, his breath tickling my neck. “I’ll fuck you until you can’t even remember his name. And the best part is, you won’t even have to learn mine.”
I gulped. When he put it like that, it didn’t sound like a bad idea at all. Maybe it was exactly what I needed. My body was definitely on board, as I leaned towards him, breathing in the smell of pine trees and man.
“Then what am I going to scream when I’m coming?” I bit my lip nervously. Could I really do this? Could I be this girl, just for one night?
“Daddy.” He grinned mischievously.
