They may seem like two polar opposites to some people, but submissiveness can be a feminist choice, and therefore just as empowering as any other choice if it’s what the woman wants.

One of the biggest criticisms of spanking fiction and/or BDSM is that it’s demeaning to women, but I’ve never met a spanko woman who wasn’t quite astute, competent and  – in some cases – even aggressive in her every day life.

The stereotypes of submissive women as weak-willed masochists looking for someone else to take control is a false one, which is why I’m always happy to see writers like Rachel Kramer speak out on the topic. Please read her full interview with The Sisterhood here. It’s quite enlightening.
