After the death of her husband, Norah Walden moved to Corbin’s Bend to start over. She wants to fulfill to lifelong dreams – to open her own bookstore and to live in a place where she can be open and honest about her spanking needs and desires. On her first day in the community, she meets Caine Landry, the carpenter who is completing the interior of her bookstore. The two are immediately attracted to one another, but there’s a problem.
Caine doesn’t live in Corbin’s Bend. Though he frequently works for Jim O’Brien and respects the right of the people in Corbin’s Bend to live as they please, it’s not a lifestyle Caine himself thinks he could live. Having been physically abused by his grandfather of the child, he finds the idea of laying a hand on someone he loves abhorrent.
Nevertheless, the two can’t deny their attraction to one another. Can they find a way to overcome the past and chase the dream of a future together or will the scars of the past keep them apart?
